Boxwood Heart Base + Details dies
The Boxwood Heart Details die set is designed to coordinate with the Boxwood Heart Base die. The individual branches in the Details set layer over the matching Base (sold separately) to create a pretty, layered boxwood heart wreath. The numbering on the dies, along with the included assembly guide make it a snap to put together!
The 8-piece Boxwood Heart Details die set includes a printed instruction guide to aid with assembly
The 2-piece Boxwood Heart Base die includes a template designed to aid with repositioning should you choose to snip the dies apart. This die also coordinates with the Love Is stamp set, introduced below.

Love is stamp set
Love is…patient, love is kind, love never fails! The Love Is set is filled with “lovely” sentiments based on 1 Corinthians 13, along with a pretty two-step heart wreath design. Combine the script “love” sentiment with the smaller sentiments from the set to create projects for valentine’s day, weddings, anniversaries, or just to say I love you! This set also works well with our Let’s Have a Word: Love die for more design options. This stamp set coordinates with the Boxwood Heart Base die introduced above.

I’m so excited to show you projects made with these new products. I just loved creating with them! My first projects is a simple shaped notecard using the Boxwood Heart Base and Details dies.
I wanted to show you how these dies go together, along with how the template included with the Base die can be used, so I put together this video showing how this little notecard came together…
My next project again uses the Boxwood Heart Base and Details dies. I absolutely couldn’t resits creating one of my weathered wood shiplap backgrounds for this pretty wreath using our Shiplap Builder die. It’s a match made in heaven. 😊
[imagelinks id=”221″]
The Boxwood Details die was cut from watercolor paper and watercolored in lots of different shades of green so that when it was assembled, there is a pretty variety of colors. I strung some twine to “hang” my wreath, and topped it off with the Let’s Have a Word: Love die.
I also created a matching tag for this card by using the Mini Boxwood Heart Stamp + Cut combo. I used the same weathered wood technique for the tag base, which was cut using the Speed Tagging die, then just layered one of those cute little Mini Boxwood wreaths over the top. All of the sentiments from the Mini Boxwood S+C combo fit inside of the small wreath, like this “be mine” I used here.
Next I again used both the Boxwood Heart Base and Details dies. I also mixed in the wreath stamps from the Love Is stamp set this time. I started by stamping step 1 of the wreath with a light gray ink. I then used just the inside of the Base die to cut a window in my card front.
Instead of using all of the branches from the Boxwood Heart Details die set, I just used #1 and #2, which form a more simplistic heart and allow for some of the stamping to show from underneath. I again used the Let’s Have a Word: Love die and adhered it to span across the window cut-out. I finished the sentiment by stamping “you” on the inside of the card. I added lots of paint splatters to finish it off.
For my next project I used the Mini Boxwood Heart Stamp + Cut combo to create a slim-line card. Two of those cute hearts, along with a couple of the sentiments from that set make a pretty and easy to create card.
I strung the two hearts over some twine to link them together. I wanted to add some interest to the background, but not distract from the hearts, so I created a white-on-whited textured background by layering some Boxwood Heart Details diecuts over my card base.
My next few projects focus on the wreath stamps from the Love Is set. It’s basically the same as the Boxwood Heart dies, just in stamp form! So whether you prefer to stamp or diecut (or both! 😊), there are options for you in today’s collection of products.
For the wreath on this pretty wedding card, I used lots of different ink colors when stamping the two steps from the wreath in the Love Is set. You can do this by sponging the ink onto your stamp rather than inking directly from the pad to the stamp. I also use a stamp positioning tool (a Misti) that lets me stamp the image multiple times and build up the color.
Once I was finished stamping both steps of the wreath, I added even more color and shading using colored pencils. I added in a few berry clusters as well, which were stamped with the With Love at Christmas set. I also added my favorite bow from the Fit to Be Tied die set. The simple black and white plaid background was stamped with the Windowpane Plaid Background stamp. The sentiment is from our new Love Song Sentiments set.
Next I pulled in some flowers from a die we’ll be showcasing tomorrow (a new BotaniCut!) to embellish my stamped wreath. I stamped it first in two shades of green Distress Oxide inks (Peeled Pain and Rustic Wilderness), and also added shading with colored pencils. I added lots of little blooms to my wreath
[imagelinks id=”225″]
For my card base, I trimmed down the front so that it is about an inch narrower than the back of the card, allowing the wreath to overhang and create a pretty edge. I also stamped the large script “love” from the Love Is set with pale pink ink multiple times to create the background. The sentiment inside the wreath is again from our new Love Songs Sentiments set. I also stamped a sentiment on the inside, which is from our Sentiment Suite: Love set.
Next is a trio of valentine notecards. I’ve been a little stuck on a neutral + green color palette for today’s projects, but here I busted out some Valentine colors to stamp these wreaths.
These were quick and easy to put together using the Love Is stamp set and Boxwood Heart Base die. I used the same method that I showed in the video at the beginning of today’s post, just using the Love Is stamps to create the wreath rather than the Boxwood Heart Details die. The “be mine, valentine” sentiment and the little hearts are from the Signed & Sealed With a Kiss set we released last year. I added some glitter and also tiny confetti hearts, which I picked out of the holiday sprinkle mix that we carried in the shop during the holidays.
And finally for today, I have a couple of projects using the new Wood Slice Heart dies, combine with some of our other new goodies. I love the regular Wood Slices we released a few months back, and these are just as fun, if not more! Love them!
My first card is really simple, and would be perfect for those hard-to-create masculine Valentine or Anniversary cards. Do you like to make them for your significant other, but draw a blank when you look at your stamping stash (which if it’s like mine has lots and lots of flowers! 😊)
I diecut both hearts from the Wood Slice Hearts set and sponged them with shades of brown Distress Oxide inks (Fresh Linen, Frayed Burlap, Walnut Stain). I clustered them over a background that was sponged and splattered with green inks. I layered the Let’s Have a Word: Love over the top, and also clustered a few sprigs, cut with the Boxwood Heart Details die. I finished the sentiment by stamping “you” from the Love Is stamp set. I also added a few white paint splatters because I just couldn’t resist. 😊 A simple and fun card that’s great for the hubby!
My next card again uses the Wood Slice Hearts die, but this time with a more feminine take. I completely filled my background with the smaller heart from the set. The diecuts were layered over a panel of watercolor paper that was watercolored with some shades of brown before layering the hearts over the top.
I added some flower clusters which were made with flowers from the Hoop Wreath set, and some sprigs from the new Boxwood Heart Details die. I stamped several of the hearts with sentiments from the Love Is set, and finished it off with a Let’s Have a Word: Love diecut.

Beautiful designs so very pretty!
What a wonderful release, combining nature with all things Valentine. Love it all!
Valentines touch me so deeply, ever since I was in grammar school where I always volunteered to make the Valentine ‘house’ where my classmates would drop their cards into for later distribution to each other. This release takes me back to my fondest of Valentine memories but with a lot more adulting! Beautiful, beautiful release!!
I am so in love with this release. It is such a pleasant and joyful thing while we are dealing with such hard times in our nation. I cannot wait for this release to be live. I will try my hardest to stay within my budget. 😉
