Wow, can you believe it’s already Friday? TGIF time! Wanda has the most adorable project for us today using our new Hug in a Mug die. If you ordered yours it is on its way, or may have already arrived! I’m so excited for Wanda’s Pumpkin Spice version. Let’s check it out…
Hello and Welcome to TGIF here at The Greetery! Wanda here, sharing two of my favorite things! Coffee and Fall! I do so love a good Pumpkin Spice Latte, and that’s what I have made for you today. You might just be receiving your goodies from the Merry Makings release last week, so I want to give you some more inspiration using the Hug in a Mug stamps and dies. I am always inspired by Fall colors. This project would be so cute as a favor for a girls coffee date or your Thanksgiving table. Thanks for joining me on this beautiful Fall Friday.

My coffee mug was made with orange cardstock and the saucer was made from cream cardstock using the Hug in a Mug dies and the Saucer dies. I stamped the plaid border at the top of the mug, and stamped the latte art on the top using the Hug in a Mug stamp set.
After the mug pieces were cut out I used the beautiful Berry Branch stencil, a blender brush, and Crackling Campfire Distress Ink to make a pretty leaf design onto it! I also brushed a bit of the ink onto the bottom of the handle for an ombre effect. I stamped the sentiment on the front in brown ink and added a wee heart too. I glued the mug handles together, glued the steam pieces together, and glued the mug together and set that aside to dry. I always use a glue pen for putting together my 3D dies. For the saucer I used cream cardstock. I again used my blender brush and ink (Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink) to gently ink the outer edges of the saucer. I glued the saucer together. Next, I die cut the Coaster Die from gingham patterned paper.
I splattered everything with gold watercolor ink! I used one of my favorite stamp sets to add the little seasonal embellishment on the top – the Top Down Day Autumn stamp set. I stamped the pumpkin/leaves image and die cut it with the matching dies. I cut a small slit on the left side of the image so it would fit over the edge of the mug. I used Stickles Diamond Glitter to add shine to the pumpkins and the steam.
I put some sweet pumpkin candies inside as a treat for the recipient. Some coffee candies would be sweet too. You could add a small gift, some sweets, or whatever little trinkets your heart desires. This is such a fun suite of products – I have so many more ideas!
Thank you for spending some time with me here on The Greetery Blog today. Wishing you a beautiful weekend full of happiness and creativity! Take care friends. XO

I think that is the sweetest looking invite I’ve ever seen!! I’d be over in a heartbeat!
Wanda, this is absolutely beautiful! The mug, the background and the photography are stunning.
Thank you Wanda for sharing this idea – I like the addition of the mug rug. I am going to give this a try today as I just received my lovelies yesterday. I look forward to seeing more of your ideas.
Wanda!! Your Hug in a Mug is adorable!! Love all your details: the plaid stamping on the cup rim, the gingham cozy coaster, your seasonal embellishment, the diamond glitter stickles, your sweet stamping on your mug and all the beautiful ink blending and gold splatter.
Guess what??? I love it!!
Wanda, whimsical and elegant…casual elegance in a mug! Thank you. I didn’t order the Hug in a Mug set but you’ve given me ideas for other uses with the sets I did buy.
One of the cutest ideas ever for this mug. All the details are perfect. Fabulous job by Wanda!
I am hoping to make something similar for the women in my neighborhood. I did a Christmas Tea in my heated gar last year. I have been racking my brains on how to send encouragement in this harder time of year. Now I can send mugs both for Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Been wondering if you could stamp a heart in glue and sprinkle cinnamon over the glue and would you be able to smell anything? Probably not..:)
I just got notice that my set will be delivered today – I can’t wait. I will make this adorable cup and saucer filled with candy pumpkins (my daughter’s favorite addiction) and give it to her tonight.
I love this adorable pumpkin mug Wanda made, I keep forgetting that this mug is a treat box too! This turned out so cute!
Cant wait to play with my goodies that came yesterday.
I think it look like a cupful of love.
BEAUTIFUL WORK, Wanda!!!! LOVE EVERYTHING you’ve done to this mug! ALL those SPECIAL TOUCHES is what makes this a SPECIAL GIFT for the recipient! My daughter would LOVE the Pumpkin Latte! LOL WHAT A FABULOUS JOB you’ve done!!!! I received my box of goodies yesterday, but have to wait for our Anniversary, as they are an Anniversary Gift! THANK GOODNESS, I won’t have to wait too long! I keep pulling them out & looking them over! LOL ;)<3
Wanda did an outstanding job on this Hug in A Mug! Not only are her photographs so beautiful but all of the extra details really define the beauty. Wouldn’t they look adorable on your Thanksgiving tablescape?
That’s just Adorable! Amazing details. Thanks for sharing.
The only thing that could make this better is if I was sharing a pumpkin latte with you, in person… I love this so much. I also love that we shall our love of everything FALL. Beautiful job Wanda and hip hip horray my Greetery order arrived today. It’s going to be a fun weekend, even if we are suppose to get rain. Thanks for sharing this dear friend, awesome job!
Oh Wanda! I tried with all my might to not get this set, and now, well, your set put my will power on hold. How adorable! Love every detail.
So sweet 🙂 love it !! Fall is my favorite !
I LOVE this one. My set arrived today and I cannot wait to begin playing. Thank you for the inspiration.
I don’t know how I would truly feel inspired for Fall, without the help of such talented designers like you Wanda. Living in Florida, we don’t see the beautiful scenery of Autumn or the feeling it invokes. I just love all the special touches you added to your mug and saucer, it’s a beauty! My original thought was to put off purchasing the mug for Valentine’s gifts but you’ve inspired me BIG time Wanda! And Betsy, your Mason ziploc with all the goodies inside is awesome, I love it! My thanks to you both for wonderFall TGIF !!
Simply darling!
