Before we delve into today’s projects, I have a video for you showcasing all of the Hug in a Mug products. It’s a lengthy one…I’ll show you how to assemble the mug and saucer as well as how to do some fun embellishing!
I have so much to show you, I hardly know where to begin! But let’s start with those adorable mugs. 😊
[imagelinks id=”188″]
I LOVED creating these! So much fun. They are going to be our favors at Christmas Eve dinner this year. I embellished these with some air dry clay for the whip cream and then some sprinkles, marshmallows and striped straws from the Hug in a Mug embellishment kit (note, the embellishment kit does not include air-dry clay).
Those cookies? So fun to put together using the Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats die! I diecut the “chocolate” from brown foam and it is so realistic! The others are all just cut from cardstock and sponged with a bit of Vintage Linen ink. I added glitter, sprinkles, candy canes, and marshmallows from the Embellishment kit. One thing that I added that is not included in the kit is Nuvo Drops for the frosting. I had fun playing around with different combinations for a whole assortment of cookies.
I created several different mugs in different colors and stamped with different sentiments from the Hug in a Mug Holiday stamp set. These will all be filled with (real) chocolates for our Christmas eve table.
For my next project, I thought it would be fun to create a mug full of cider for fall! I tucked in a real cinnamon stick for a realistic touch.
I stamped the “warm wishes” sentiment from the Hug in a Mug Holiday set and also stamped a small leaf, which is from the All Blessings Flow stamp set. Instead of using the saucer die, this time I created a “coaster” for the mug using our new Wood Slices die. I diecut three of the larger slice and stacked them up for a little more thickness. I sponged them with brown inks for a deep, rich wood-tone. I pulled out the peach slice from the Print Shop: Peachy Keen set and inked that up to create an apple instead of a peach. I layered it over a BotaniCuts Mighty Oak leaf diecut along with an acorn from that same set and a real cinnamon stick. I also made a little cinnamon cookie using the Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats die. I’m going to fill it up with apple caramel candies and bring it to someone special. 😊
Up next I have several projects using the new S’more Holiday set. This one is so fun to create with as well! For this first card I used the “let it snow s’more” sentiment and paired it with some Snowflake Soiree snowflakes and the Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats dies for some realistic chocolates and graham crackers!
I diecut a frame using the Crimped Frames die, and layered the snowflakes, chocolates, and crackers under the frame, trimming off any excess from around the outer edges. I also incorporated a couple of the roasting sticks and some BotaniCuts Pine Bough branches cut from white cardstock. I love the multi-step “s’more” sentiment from the set – it stamps up so cute! The chocolates were cut from brown foam for some added realism. I added some white ink splatters as “snow” to finish it off. Such a fun winter card!
My next card has a fun homespun feel to it. I layered several elements from the S’more Holiday set over the Graham Cracker Cuts die and a bright green gingham background which was done with the Square Dance die and stencil.
The “s’more’ sentiment was stamped in brown ink – I sponged it to create an ombre effect, then sponged the top part of of the word with Versamark Ink and embossed it with white embossing powder to create a marshmallow-y effect. The “sweet holiday wishes” sentiment is from the Hug in a Mug Holiday set.
I have a treat wrap up next, using the S’more Holiday set. I picked up some yummy s’more snack mix at Costco, knowing I had just the right thing for wrapping it up into a cute treat! (please pardon my photos today…somewhere between my craft room and photo shoot my pine needles slipped and are covering my sentiment! 😜)
I started with the Create-a-Crate die cut from kraft cardstock, and embellished it with the S’more Holiday set and Graham Cracker Cuts die. I tied up some of the snack mix in a cello bag and embellished it with a couple of foam marshmallows from the Hug in a Mug Embellishment kit and a BotaniCuts Pine sprig. A quick and easy treat for teachers, bus drivers, and more!
I named my last project for today Graham Cracker Pull-aparts. Doesn’t that sound yummy? These were quick and fun to create. The Graham Cracker Cuts die is just slightly larger than a gift card. I cut two of the crackers, cut them in half and glued them together around the outer edges – basically creating two pockets that I could slip a gift card inside.
I embellished them with elements from the S’more Holiday set, and also some tiny s’mores made with the Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats die. I made sure to adhere everything only on the left side of the graham cracker pull-apart so that the gift card was easily accessible.
I so hope you enjoyed all of my projects today. They brought me such joy to create!

All so sweet!! We always have chocolate covered pretzels and marzipan (the fruit shaped candy made from almond paste) at Christmas.
Oh my gosh. Love love this new release. Cut on Christmas is a favorite with my family.
Genius! I’m speechless!
My family has a special Christmas breakfast which is like French toast and apple pie rolled into one. It soaks over night and is baked in the morning & then whipped cream is added on top. Oh so yummy! This is another wonderfully creative and fun release. All the projects are amazing!
There is so much to love about this release but the hug in a mug suite with those yummy sweet treats is by far my favorite. Like the s’mores, too, and the fact that they will work for summer themed projects as well. Maybe you can come out with a stamp set with sentiments for summer/camping s’more projects in the future?
All in all another fantastic holiday release! I always look forward to your holiday releases and this one does not disappoint. I just need a bigger piggy bank. 🙂
Making and eating Christmas cookies is our favorite holiday treat.
Oh no, I told myself I wasn’t going to need anything from Day 3, but these products are SO fun! This entire release is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for sharing your amazing talent with us!
My husband does his own peanut brittle around Christmas (among other things he likes to cook), and that says “Christmas” to me. Great new release Betsy.
What a wonderful, fun, unique release! I really love those S’mores! My favorite holiday food is (was) my mother’s cornbread dressing. She’s gone now, but, through trial and error, my niece does a pretty good job of duplicating it. Unfortunately, I’ll probably miss it this year since it looks like this pandemic will mean I’ll be spending the holidays alone with a TV dinner (hopefully turkey!).
So sweet!! I am definitely a HOT COCOA lover!
Yummy, good enough to eat! My favorite holiday food/drink is egg nog. Nothing like a little toddy on a crisp evening.
I am WOW’ed by these amazing projects! These sets are so awesome and unique! My favorite treat at Christmas is gingerbread cookies! Yum!
The sweetest day ever! So much to love in this release. My favourite holiday food tradition is the big box of (very good) assorted chocolates that my mom would pass around during the holidays. We continue this in my family today. Every Christmas I spend a small fortune on boxes of imported Belgium Léonidas or Daskalidès chocolate. So worth it!
I have two favorites, Christmas Crack (made with saltines, chocolate chips, and Heath Bar Brickle Bits) and the pecan cookies that are round and rolled in powdered sugar.
Gosh, those mugs are cute! My fave treat is Scottish shortbread.
First, Hug in a Mug is pure genius! Second, love everything! Third, my favorite holiday food is the coffee cake that my mom started making for Christmas when I was in the 8th grade. I’ve been making it for years for my own family. I just LOVE Christmas morning breakfast!
I grew up in England and our holiday treats were the daily chocolate treat from the Christmas treat and the yule log on Christmas Eve. This is such a wonderfully unique part of the release and conjures up such warm feelings.

Betsy, you SO OUT-DID yourself here! SO ADORABLE!!!! I do a paper tea cup, similar to your mug–my own pattern! Your mug has ALL the details & it’s FABULOUS!!!! The cookies are ADORABLE!!! AND LOVE the little decorating kit! I was JUST THINKING LAST NIGHT, I wondering IF you would go back to doing the “KITS” you used to do for us???? LOVE THOSE, getting it all together like that! SUCH A SUPER RELEASE!!! ;)<3
We love making sugar cookies…we aren’t good at it…but we have great fun trying!
Love the hug in a mug set!!
Holy s’mores Betsy! You have knocked it out of the park AGAIN! – LOVE LOVE LOVE!
What a delicious post of sweet drinks and treats, very festive and so realistic. My favorite Holiday treat (and family favorite) is candy bark using white chocolate. I still have a hard time believing it all starts with Saltines!
Adorable! This release has me craving hot chocolate and s’mores!
Wow! What a fun suite of projects. I can’t decide which products I like best. My poor pocketbook.

You just kilt my budget!!
Wow, these products are amazing- you’ve really given us the ability to create paper food and dishes, how fun!
I like the classics for holiday foods- dainties like nanaimo bars, marzipan slice, imperial cookies
OMG! Hug in a Mug is adorable! And that whip cream? Brilliant!
Brilliant!
WOWZER, Betsy, everything is so beautifully detailed and coordinates so well together, including the cute sentiments and fonts. You are a genius designer, creator and blog poster! My favorite holiday treat would have to be my Date Pinwheel Cookies. Spectacular release!
Oh my word! Cuteness personified!
I love my mom’s sugar cookies during christmas and my aunt’s pumpkin pie at thanksgiving!
Absolutely fabulous samples… or should I say delicious? Love these… the Hug in a Mug Sweet Treats die set is my favorite! I love to bake for the holidays, so these cookies and goodies are just awesome! I’d love to make tags to put on my baked treats that I give to friends and neighbors!
My favorite holiday treats are the Scandinavian Almond Bars that I make each year!
Love this collection Betsy. It is so sweet!!!! I’m thinking these would make great ornaments for either a kitchen tree, or even a child’s tree. LOVE.
Oh my goodness, this release is so awesome…I think I’ll be breaking the bank!
My favorite holiday food is cinnamon rolls on Christmas morning. Ooey, gooey, warm and delicious!
Such a fun day of projects! Everything looks scrumptious! My favorite holiday treat is butter tarts, I only make them once a year at Christmas!
These are the cutest ideas. So sweet . . . . . . .
Love , love, love these food sets! SO much fun and just brilliant! Just want to go out and buy some marshmallow and chocolate to make some smores and hot chocolate! Always look forward to pumpkin pie and sweet potato pie around the holidays and some chocolate indulgence, YUM! Thank you for the inspiration!
Oh my. Today’s post is over the top sweet.
Oh my goodness- that teacup and saucer are so clever and will make the cutest christmas gifts. Just wish there would be phrases and decorations for tea lovers. The sprinkles for the cookies are really special as well. Actually I shouldn`t spend money on craft items as I just had an expensive car repair. But I don`t know if I can wait until christmas money arrives the end of november. Also the items would arrive too late in europe to make xmas gifts….So would be brilliant to win a gift card 🙂
Betsy, everything you create has a touch of magic in it! I love ribbon candy at Christmas.
So many sweet things today. Love s’mores. I like my mom’s recipe for butterscotch rolled cookies.
WOW! What an awesome release! The projects are amazing! Love the Hug in a Mug sets! So cute! One of our favorite holiday treats are baking all the different holiday cookies and candies.
You are truly the Christmas decorating queen! Love all of it ! I’ll have to attach it all really securely to keep grand kids from eating, so realistic looking. Love it all.
Your attention to detail is unmatched!! Everything is adorable!
We always have Holiday Stollen Bread for Christmas!
Oh my gosh! So much cuteness!!!
Very cute projects today, Betsy! My favourite holiday treat is white chocolate bark 🙂
My favorite holiday treat, hands down is Fudge! Chocolate Fudge. This kit for the hug in the mug is so darn cute. I want it All….
Oh Betsy, this is just so beyond cute! Simply amazing what you have created! My favorite holiday treats are snowballs or Mexican wedding cakes and hot chocolate made real dark chocolate, heavy cream and spices. Thanks you!
Soooo stinkin’ cute!!! I don’t know how you do it Betsy.

like those. Add the graham cracker and you’re
