Snowflake Soiree stencil, stamp set, + die
Swirling & twirling, these snowflakes are ready to dance across your next project! If you enjoyed our Pinwheel Party collection you’ll love Snowflake Soiree! The Snowflake Soiree stencil set includes a 4-step border stencil that makes it so fun and easy to create beautiful multi-colored snowflake borders. The individual snowflake stencil can be used to stencil snowflakes onto backgrounds, or onto the matching dies. There’s also a mask stencil to use with the border, allowing you to sponge additional color around that pretty border.
The matching Snowflake Soiree die collection includes dies for all of the individual snowflakes in the stencil set, a die for the border, and a “be merry” sentiment and matching shadow. The coordinating stamp set includes an assortment of smaller snowflakes and some mix and match sentiments that can be combined with the “be merry” die or stamp.
This Snowflake Soiree stencil set includes a full-color printed stenciling guide. The matching die is an 11-piece set of wired dies.

I once again have so many projects! I could not stop creating! 😊 Before we get into the projects, I have a video for you that showcases Snowflake Soiree, showing you all of the details of what you can do with these stencils, dies, and stamps.
Here are some close-ups of the cards I created from the elements that were stamped and stenciled in the video. So quick and fun to do!
Next I have several more cards using the Snowflake Soiree elements. This one uses the multi-step border stencil on a vertical A2 card. I used Broken China, Blueprint Sketch, Victorian Velvet, and Festive Berries oxide inks for the border.
I layered a diecut the stenciled border with the border die, and also popped up an individual snowflake to add some more dimension. The sentiment was done with a mix of the dies and stamps. I added a few single snowflakes as accents around the sentiment, and also used the stamps to stamp a few tiny snowflakes in the background.
I sat down and stenciled a whole pile of those pretty flakes in alllll the colors and had the best time mixing, matching, and layering them for a rainbow of flurries!
I was inspired by Heather’s tone-on-tone diecut background she shared a few weeks ago for a TGIF post. I lightened it up and did a white-on-white background using some branches from the BotaniCuts Pine Bough die. It’s the perfect backdrop for these colorful snowflakes! I arranged them in rainbow order on a slim-line card base, working from cool to warm across the card front. I finished it off with a Written in Ribbons Holiday sentiment.
I created a matching card that is a bit simpler, using the multi-step border stencils. I worked my way across each stencil left to right, from warm to cool ink colors to create these stenciled rainbow flakes.
I also added some individual snowflakes to the background with the stencil, using texture paste to create an embossed effect. I finished it off with the diecut sentiment, sponged in a rainbow of inks and layered over the shadow diecut, which was cut from vellum for a light and airy look. A few sequins add a little sparkle!
Next I switched to an ultra cool color palette…it reminds me of Frozen! I stenciled the 4-step border at both the top and bottom edges of this vertical A2 panel using shades of blue and purple inks. I used Blueprint Sketch, Shaded Lilac, Milled Lavender, and Stormy Sky.
I stamped a few snowflakes as well, to the centers of the stenciled snowflakes just to add a little more depth to the centers. I added some pine branches, cut with the BotaniCuts Pine Bough die, which were glittered with some glass glitter. I finished it off with a Written in Ribbons Holiday sentiment.
For my final card featuring Snowflake Soiree, I miiiight have gone a little overboard. 😂 I mentioned at the start of this post, that Snowflake Soiree is very similar in concept to our Pinwheel Party set. That got me to thinking about how fun it would be to combine the two. And that is what I did here and it was so very much fun!
It turned out looking almost like intricate Moroccan tiles. I stenciled several pinwheels and several snowflakes in shades of all different blues and greens. Then I had fun arranging them on my card base, and layering all sorts of different combinations. The pretty “merry Christmas” from Written in Ribbons Holiday is layered over the top, and a few iridescent sequins add some shine!
Next I have some fun projects using the new Destination: North Pole set. These are so fun to work with as well. I just sat and stamped a pile of the small icons from the set so I could just add them to my cards as I went along creating. This first card uses the previously released Destination: Round Map die as my base.
The two-step North Pole sentiment that’s included in the set is so fun! I stamped it using my MISTI so that I could add some shading on the inside portion of the letters by sponging some darker green onto the lower half of the letters with a finger sponge. The street names are such a fun little touch, too! The stamps are straight, but you can curve them on your block to fit along any of the streets on the Map dies. There are also dies for all of the other small sentiments that go along with the “north pole” words so that you can easily layer them when using the maps dies, etc.
This next one uses the previously released Destination Map stencils. I used some texture paste along with the waterfront map stencil to create dimensional snow drifts. Before adding the texture paste with the map stencil, I used the Snowflake Soiree stencil set to add some snowflakes to the background as well.
I added lots of details from the Destination: North Pole set and that fun sentiment as well. The polar bears might be my favorite. I stamped them in a very light gray ink, then added just a little shading with a gray colored pencil and a pink pencil for rosy cheeks. The eyes and nose were added with a black pen – to both the polar bears and the reindeer.
My next card was inspired by a book I used to read my kids when they were little…Snow Bear’s Surprise, an adorable book about sweet polar animals and the northern lights. The last page of the book had little twinkling lights – my youngest especially loved that book! This card was inspired by it. 😊
[imagelinks id=”186″]
I started with a panel of water color paper and used my watercolor paints to create something resembling the northern lights. I added some splatters for “stars”. I used the Drifting die along the bottom to create a place to tuck some mountains from the previously released Destination stamp set. I used the polar bears and trees from the new North Pole set. The sentiment is also from that set, of course. I layered everything over a Postal Frames diecut. I also added a few Snowflake Soiree snowflakes.
Lastly, I have a few tags using Destination: North Pole along with the new Wood Slices die. Such a fun combo! I layered lots of elements from North Pole over the slices.
I used a brad to secure my embellished slice to a second slice which was stamped with the to/from sentiments from Merry Sprigs. This allows the tags to “swivel” to reveal the to/from message. Everything used to embellish the slice is from North Pole, with the exception of the “special delivery” sentiment, which is from the Pretty Postmarks set.
I so hope you enjoyed all of my projects today. They brought me such joy to create!

When my daughter was 3 years old, she got out of bed about 2:30 am to check and see if Santa had come yet. My mom, who stayed overnight so she could see my kids open their gifts, was sleeping on our pull out couch .I woke up to find my daughter sleeping with her grandma who told me that she had awakened her looking for Santa! It was so sweet! (Loving Snowflake Soiree!)
I loved it when the kids believed in Santa! We’d get out the special plate to put cookies for Santa on and milk in a festive mug for him to drink. Then when the kids went to bed hubby and I would eat some of the cookies and drink some of the milk to show Santa ate them. Ocassionally, we’d put out some carrots for the reindeer. We didn’t want to eat them so we’d tell the kids that the reindeer must have been too full to eat any more carrots.
Such fun & beautiful cards! Can’t wait for Friday!
Love all the snowflakes and the many ways to use them! Destination: North Pole is precious!!
First, love the snowflake stencil set! Growing up, Santa always delivered our presents on Christmas Eve so we opened presents after dark.
So many memories…When I was very young my Grandma came to visit for Christmas. We had to share a bed, and on Christmas Eve we lay there and she told me stories of when she was young. I heard a noise and she told me that if I got up Santa would leave no presents! What a wonderful night with my Grandma. Tears!
We leave out individual bowls filled with sugar for the reindeer and a special bowl with sprinkles for Rudolph. Our daughter says it gives him the energy he needs to light the sky!
Love the Snowflake Soiree! Beautiful! Every year when our girls were growing up we had a tradition of baking all kinds of cookies and decorating them and we would make different candies etc. Then we would make trays or baskets of goodies and wrap them up to give to neighbors and friends. When my granddaughters were born, we still do this with them too. Of course they started their own tradition of if a cookie breaks they get to eat it…we usually have a lot of broken cookies. LOL. Then we work on gingerbread houses, they love doing that too. We have so much fun and everyone loves to go and give them out to friends and neighbors. Love that they all still love to do this.
Another day of beautiful creations! Love!
Wonderful cards today. This release is living up to expectations.
Seriously, HOW do you manage to stun me every month with your talent??? Just when I think you can’t possibly top yourself…
I just remember being the first one up every year as a kid on Christmas waiting to see what Santa brought. Sometimes when I thought I was beng all stealthy, tip toeing past my parents’ bedroom, I’d hit the top of the creaky steps and my Dad would call out, “Go back to bed, it’s 5am!”
Love the snowflake bundle and all the pretty snowflakes in such a rainbow of colors! I was always super excited about leaving snacks for Santa and his reindeer. I wanted the cookies to be extra special so Santa would remember our house!
It’s been so long since I’ve had little ones to take
to meet Santa. I have lots of pictures of the kids
and granddaughter (even some of my sitting
on Santa’s lap when I was a kid little). Enjoy
looking at them and remembering fun times.
The release is fantastic. The holiday
season is always the best. thanks for
having the hop. txmlhl(at)yahoo(dot)com
I don’t really have a Santa story, but my grandson lives 2,000 miles away so in December I like to send him a package with 24 envelopes decorated for each day of the month. That way he has something to open everyday until Christmas. I might include a coloring page, or stickers, or a gift card…just a little something to brighten his day. I learned the hard way the first year when I had to ship two packages because I went a little overboard with the gifts and most of them would not fit in an envelope…
when i first spied that North Pole I knew I had to have. Oh those memories with my siblings of watching out the bedroom window trying to stay awake to see Santa!!
Love the snowflake color combos!
Being a child of the eighties, my best Santa memory is waking up to find a real cabbage patch doll, the year they were sold out. I had no idea and never thought I would get one. It was a true surprise. Love today’s release items, especially the snowflakes.
I love your stamp sets! All of them especially the snowflakes! My favorite Christmas memories are of my son walking down the stairs on Christmas morning to open his gifts from Santa.
One of my earliest memories is visiting Santa Claus. Unfortunately, I was scared of him. Happy Holidays!
Just love all the critters in the North pole set. So much fun!
All of the cards are so lovely and are bringing in the spirit of the holidays! Looking forward to exploring this holiday release and the wonderful creations using them.
When I was a little girl I wrote a letter to Santa one year, telling him I’d be glad to go without a gift if it meant another child could get something from him. Funny thing is that I did not realize that we did not have much ourselves but we had enough to be happy and thankful. Betsy, the images you create remind me of Christmases from long ago. There’s a magic in the air at Christmas and we can all enjoy and recreate the nostalgia through the beautiful products that you graciously allow us to use to make the Season of Sharing special for our family and friends. Thank you Betsy.
You are such a talented artist! I love all your projects today–the colorful snowflakes, the northern lights, the many color combos you used on “North Pole.” All so beautiful! When I was little, our family tradition was was to go for a drive to look at Christmas lights on Christmas Eve. We would all get in the car, but then my mother would remember she left some appliance on or she needed a sweater after all or something like that, so she would run back in the house for a bit. Then we would drive and look at lights, and when we got home, Santa would have been there, and there were presents under the tree!! So Christmas Eve was always the magical time to me. I think my parents did that so we weren’t so frantic to get up super early on Christmas and also because my sister’s birthday is Dec 26, so that gave a little separation.
I remember going downtown (back in the days when the big department stores were downtown and had big window displays) to visit Santa’s workshop at Famous Barr here in St. Louis.
Love those snowflakes.
The Snowflake Soiree is lovely – that slimline card with the rainbow snowflakes really caught my eye!! But I love the new Destination set!!! I heart the originals so much, I’m excited you’re adding to the line!! Maybe next year we can get some Halloween/Autumn icons for a fun Fall-inspired destination map! 😉
I absolutely love the North Pole cards/tags!
My husband and I married 15 years ago on December 19, 2004. At the time, my 3 kids were 9, 12 and 14 and his son was 5. We had a beautiful winter wedding in North Idaho with snow and a horse-drawn carriage that paraded around downtown Coeur d’Alene, ID. After the wedding still dressed in our wedding attire, including me and my youngest daughter wearing capes (hers was a beautiful tree skirt I found and made into a cape 😁), our whole family with in-laws and others went on a lake cruise to Santa’s Village. Part of the cruise includes Santa calling kids from his nice list which includes any child on the cruise. It was truly a magical experience for everyone!
Wonderful stencils, stamps and dies for holiday creating! Loving all the beautiful snowflakes and the wood slices!
My most memorable Santa story… my family had traveled down to the Santa Barbara home of my grandparents to spend the holiday. Our family tradition was to attend Midnight Mass, which we always looked forward to. It was such a treat to get to stay up so late and get dressed up to go to church. My grandparent’s home was a 3 story old Victorian house, which lent to the magical feel of the big night! When we got back to the house after Mass, Santa was there delivering our gifts! Two sleepy little girls (myself and my sister) got to meet him and open a few presents before we headed off to bed!
I am blown away by the Snowflake Soiree products! And those North Pole products are so darling! I don’t know how you manage to come up with so many amazing products each and every release!!
Oh your beautiful creations bring back such wonderful memories of Christmas past. When my daughter was little, (she has a 22 yr old, 18 yr old and a 12 yr old now) we got her the rocking horse on springs that so many have had over the years. We thought we had it hidden, well right before Christmas I went into the room where it was hidden only to find her riding for all she was worth. So precious, such sweet memories. Thank you Betsy, you always manage to tap into my hiding place, the place where I keep my most precious memories. I love all of your wonderful Christmas release so far !!
Beautiful Betsy! I especially love the rainbow slimline card! Opening one gift on Christmas Eve is always fun!
I can’t even think of words to describe how awesome and unique these stamp, stencils, and dies are! Pure genius! I took my kids to see our local Santa one year (he wears the best vintage suit and has a snowy white beard and hair that are all his own), and we walked in right behind him after he arrived on a fire truck. Not only did I get to see my kids’ faces as we were so close, but to watch all of the other children light up when Santa arrived, priceless!
My father stomping on the roof pretending to be Santa as my Mom ran in our bedroom and said you better get to sleep, if Santa catches you awake he will not leave presents.
Not the best Santa memory, but it makes me chuckle. My son was about 9 months old and loved beards which many of our male family members had at the time. It was a slow-motion reaction of my son realizing that Santa wasn’t family. The picture was great – my son and Santa facing each other, both crying, and my son grabbing onto Santa’s beard.
Best Christmas when I was 5 and Santa brought me a children’s size kitchen complete with a pink stove! These sets are so pretty. Love your creations!
The snowflakes are my very favorite! No one can ever have enough snowflakes, right?
My boy has a favorite tradition of putting out what we call the “Rolly Polly’s” which are in fact, a set of 5 ceramic snowmen that are in different “rolling” positions. He places them on our banister divider that divides the split level front room and the stairs leading down and outside. After Thanksgiving, he will ask, where are the Rolly Polly’s? And I know it is time to decorate!
Love Snowflake Soirée, my childhood memory was leaving a Beer and homemade cornflake cookies for Father Christmas and his reindeers as it was far too hot for milk. Mum said the milk would curdle before he got to our house here in Australia after leaving the North Pole!
I’m so excited for this release, the destination North Pole is so freaking adorable. Can’t wait!
More wonderful projects from wonderful designs, Betsy!
Beautiful creations today! Anxious to see what tomorrow brings!
Santa would always pay a visit to my grandparents’ house on Christmas Eve. I remember my mother getting us all dressed up for it, one-by-one (there were 5 of us). Since I was the oldest, she got me ready first and I had to sit still and wait the longest!
I love the cards!
I’m in LOVE with ALL of the NEW Goodies!! Such AMAZING Inspiration!!
My FAVORITE Holiday Santa Memory is from when my Boys were 7 and 1, and we had a NASTY Snow Storm that hit on Christmas Eve while we were away at my Parents house celebrating my Dads Birthday!! It made it IMPOSSIBLE to travel home to awake to Santa at our House!! So my AMAZING mother came up with the CUTEST Idea of making Ornament Messages from Santa!! Each Child awoke on Christmas Morning to an Ornament Message that was left in their Stockings (she hangs our Homemade Stocking that she made from when we were Kids in the Entry of the Main Living Room every Year along with the Stockings she’s made for each one of our Husbands/Wife and ALL of the Grandkids) The Ornament Santa Messages told the kids not to worry that he couldn’t make it in the Storm, but their Santa Gifts would be delivered the next night once we were safely Home!! The kids felt SO SPECIAL to have received the Message Ornament from Santa himself and we still hang them on our Tree each Year when we decorate the Christmas Tree!!
I love the snowflake stencils and the colors you used for your cards.
OH BETSY! EVERYTHING looks SO GOOD! HOOOW, will I EVER decide???? LOL For a Santa Story… We took our son to see Santa, but he would have NOTHING to do with it & cried the whole time, trying to get down! We didn’t push it so much after that! It was a treat from his Grandmother, as it was at her work party. CAN’T WAIT to see tomorrows reveals, IN ACTION!!! ;)<3
Amazing products and awesome inspiration! When we were little we’d wake up at 5am to see if Santa arrived. Our tradition was that Santa would decorate the tree so when we’d awaken it’d be dark and the tree lights were on. Very magical when you’re little Then we’d sleep in the living room until our parents got up to open presents.
Sorry, no children so, no grandchildren, but these stories everyone is posting, oh my gosh. Just so sweet! Snowflake Soiree is lovely.
What fun products today. My Santa story would be the event we started doing with our grandchildren a couple years ago. We host a “Santa Sleepover”. At this point there are only 3 grandchildren but another one is on the way. The first year we gave them all matching Santa pajamas, played games, had a Santa breakfast and give them a goodie bag to take home. This year our “Santa Sleepover” will take a different twist, new pajamas have been bought and working out the details around our theme. I’m not sure who has more fun, us planning the event or the children participating!
Love this release so far Betsy. Your snowflakes are amazing as is the new destination set for the North Pole!!
When raising my children, each year we would have a gingerbread party with their friends. I would bake and put together 15 gingerbread houses and they would invite their friends over for a decorating party. A would create a scrapbook page for each party. We now love looking through the scrapbooks remembering the fun gingerbread parties. Now I am baking gingerbread houses for my grandchildren to continue the tradition.
