I had SO much fun creating with these new sets. I love all map-related things so I couldn’t wait to dig in and get started with these! My first card is exactly what I had envisioned creating with these products…don’t you love when that happens?
I used the Rectangle Map die here and turned it at an angle to cut just a portion of it from the upper right corner of a panel of watercolor paper. Once that was cut, I watercolored the panel with shades of blue, and also incorporated some tan along the “coastline”/edge of the map to look like sand. I watercolored a second panel with shades of green to put underneath for the “land” portion of the map. Then I filled my map with all sorts of the little icons from the Destination: Summer set. So fun to do!
My next card is another summery take on the map theme. This time I used the Waterfront Map die.
I placed a couple of sailboats in the water section of the die, and filled in the other areas with icons from both the Destination and Destination: Summer sets. The Destination set is filled with more basic and geographical icons that can work alone or be combined with the Summer set. For the sentiment, I diecut the smaller frame from the Postal Frames die and placed it at an angle in the corner, trimming off the excess.
For my next two projects, I wanted to keep them a little simpler and more masculine. For this one I used the Destination Map Stencils to create the background.
I used the rectangle map from the set, turning it at different angles to completely fill my background with stenciled maps. I sponged over the stencil with several shades of green Oxide inks. Then I stamped the trees and mountains from the Destination set using a dark grey ink. I also added a couple of river diecuts, cut using the Destination die set. For the focal point I pulled out the Nordic Frames dies and used the smallest frame from the set. I stamped more trees and mountains, and also included the heart and sentiment from the Destination set.
My last card is also quite simple to create. I started by cutting the Round Map die from a panel of white cardstock.
I layered this diecut panel over my card base, and used a pencil to lightly mark the position of the map. I then used these pencil lines as guides for adding some ink blending and also stamped trees, mountains, and the lake and river. Once I had the under-panel looking like I wanted, I adhered the diecut map panel over the top and added the heart and miss you sentiment, both from the Destination set.
I had so much fun creating these projects! I hope you enjoyed checking them out as much as I enjoyed creating them!

Sorry to sound like a coward, but our only summer trips are to the grocery during senior hours. We do have a very large park and reservoir right across the street, so we can take beautiful drives through there, too.
Really cute projects today! The destination sets look fun! The only real life travel we’re doing is to the grocery store
I’m the definition of high risk, so unfortunately my family and I won’t be going anywhere this Summer. Even before COVID-19, due to my rare immune deficiency disease and Cystic Fibrosis my family quarantines during the Fall and Winter so we have been in quarantine since December.
Well – headed to Ventura, CA to collect Grandson for 2 week of adventures
No trip for my family this year which is too bad because we were looking forward to beach get away. Love these new sets and dies!
Hello there! What an awesome new release of goodies! Am I going anywhere this summer? I wish! HAHA! Nope! Just will be hangin out at home!
the Destination set is quite unique, I am looking forward to seeing what the team have made today. We had a lovely short trip to a seaside town here in South Australia last weekend. We can now travel within our state as we have had no Covid 19 cases for some time.
Super cute projects!
I absolutely love the products in this release. They are mind blowing. My favorite is the Peach stamp set and coordinating stencil set. The peaches look so perfect, juicy and totally real. Can’t wait for the release tomorrow. WooHoo!
Wow, your products are simply amazing and unique.
Loving all your new products. I have so much on my wish list now.
We just got back from Utah to visit with family. It was so nice to see them!
The Greetery’s Destination: Summer collection is the closest I will come to having a vacation this summer. But I can dream.
All of our travel plans are on hold this year because of COVID. We’re headed to Europe in 2021, Lord willing and the creek don’t rise. 😉
This collection makes me think of old, vintage-y postcards! So cute!
Such a great release, Betsy! I just love all of your details and your products!
What a great concept- awesome projects! No travelling for me this summer, unfortunately. I was really hoping to go visit my family, but had to postpone.
What fun and unique designs you’ve come up with! So fun and summery feeling! We don’t typically travel much in the summer. I usually do a girls’ trip with my daughters to go school clothes shopping, but this year will be our first trek for a college move-in! Exciting times!
What fun summer travel sets and adorable projects!!
Destination: Summer!!! Such a FUN series!!! I LOVE FUN!!! And during this wacky time in our lives, and plans/vacations have had to change or be postponed….this release reminds us of the simple life of fun during summer, which we all love and need. It will be fun to send cards to family and friends to remind them of those times and times we can look forward to!
Thank you, Betsy!
FUN FUN FUN! Love all the detail in this. Concerning travels this summer, we are tentatively planning to drive out state to see my 97 year old mother who is in assisted living. Just learned yesterday that they are quarantined again as a worker came down with COVID-19. They were all tested today so we are waiting on all the results to see if they re-open again. Such a fluid situation. Otherwise “trips” have only been out to the porch!
That is really cute. Reminds me of all our camping trip so when growing up. Oh how I miss my parents. Good memories.
Well, if you count moving as travel then yes. We will end up somewhere…so many possibilities, just like today’s products!
These are absolutely beautiful!! No plans for this summer. We love where we live so much, I don’t think I want to go anywhere! 🙂
Beautiful stamps and dies and the stencil is so unique – love it! No plans for me this summer, we do our travelling spring and fall, but this year probably not, sticking close to home!
Love the new release! My husband and I relaxed in Ludington, a Lake Michigan coastal town, last weekend.
Great products as always. We’re RV ers. Love it.
Nope. Nada. Gave up on our river cruise this summer…taking bike rides, walks, and making cards! Betsy, I LOVE how talented and creative you are. Seriously, who can think up this stuff?
Sadly there are no travel plans for summer this year. This year has definitely been challenging to say the least😞.
You are so good at creating scenes! Sadly, we are not going anywhere this summer, because of covid. Usually, every summer we go to Vancouver, BC, for a three-night international fireworks competition, but this year the border is closed to leisure travelers, and they are not holding the usual competition anyway. I’m sad because I love fireworks! I didn’t even get to see any on the Fourth this year–well, not professional ones. Lots of people shot off do-it-yourself ones.
WOW!!! WHAT SUPER WORK EVERYONE has done with this set! YES, it reminds me of a map! LOVE the variations everyone came up with!!! ANOTHER SUPER HOP, LADIES!!! ;)<3
Amazing creativity! This destination set is unique and the peaches…mouth watering!
What a unique stamp and die set! Vary clever!
We are planning our annual trip to Mackinaw City, MI. It just wouldn’t be summer without going over the Mackinaw Bridge!
What a terrific stamp, stencil and die set…looking forward to creating with them!
Love the destination theme. We took a one day trip but no traveling this year.
No summer plans for us! My son starts back to high school on July 29th. I love these cute and unique new products today.
We are packing sandwiches and taking a day trip to a lake next week. The beautiful stamp sets are reminders of vacations past and future.
Since I love to travel, it’s one of my favorite crafting themes. This collection is so unique, creative, and well thought out.
We aren’t planning on any trips this summer.
I am getting ready to drive across country to take my kids to college – from the east coast to the west coast!
Love the little sailboats!
Gorgeous cards!
Betsy, you are so clever! The Destination set unique. Love tour cards.
Love these sweet cards! I have made several day trips and plan on going to the coast for a few days this summer.
Ok This has to be the COOLEST release ever!! I can think of a million ways to use these stamps and dies! And to document so many of my trips!! what FUN!
Any tips on how to line up the stamps and dies for the destination series? It’s very difficult to get a perfect cut!
