It’s Make & Tell Tuesday time! Today I’ll be pulling out the baby’s breath image from the Budding Beauties Spring set to use in a unique way. I always love those photos or paintings where it looks like you’re looking up at the sky surrounded by a beautiful forest. We’ll be doing a fun take on that today by stamping a blooming forest using that baby’s breath image.

We’ll start out by watercoloring a panel of watercolor paper, then add stamping and heat embossing over the top. You could use this same concept along with either Fir & Foliage No. 1 or 2 for a more traditional forest. You could change up the colors of the watercoloring to look like a sunset, or maybe even a snowy scene for the holidays.
Here’s this week’s video…

What a fun card and so beautiful!
Beautiful card!
I love how this card really makes you feel like you are laying on the forest floor. Beautiful card.
Such a gorgeous card Betsy! I love watching your video as you lay down your watercolors with a beautiful vision and palette. Not only do I learn something but it’s a treat to watch your card come to life. 😊💌
BEAUTIFUL!!!! AND SO CREATIVE, Betsy!!! ;)<3
Pretty! Looking forward to the video! Enjoyed your lemon watercolor video so much, and ended up making 6 of the lemon based cards! Mine did not turn out like yours, but I was very pleased and they went out for May day deliveries!
Just beautiful! I plan on trying this technique today because I already have an idea!
Love it!
Talk about a great way to stretch my stamps! I love this technique with the watercolored background. Thanks for taking us through the whole process. The finished card looks so soft, I was surprised at the depth of watercolor before it was stamped. I look forward to trying this myself. Happy belated Mother’s Day! Hope you are doing well during the viral insanity!
Gorgeous, Betsy! I can’t wait to try this out!
