Wishing you and yours a blessed Easter. May your day be filled with joy and HOPE, knowing that even though our churches may be empty this morning, so is the tomb!
Our Easter celebrations may look very different this year…but maybe it’s the year to begin a new family tradition of some sort. I made this card while I was reflecting on the fact that one of our traditions won’t be taking place this year. My youngest daughter and I have attended our community sunrise service together for the past several years. The church where it’s held has beautiful stained glass windows on every side. They are dark and lifeless when we arrive before sunrise, but as the service progresses, we start to see glimmers of light. By the time it’s finished and we all join in the Hallelujah Chorus, the light is flooding through those windows in the most glorious way. Just because we won’t be there to see it this year, doesn’t mean that light isn’t shining as bright as ever, or that the Easter message is any less powerful!
Wishing you all peace, joy, and most of all…HOPE on this blessed day.

Thank you Betsy, for sharing your beautiful post and card. It helps me vision the light beaming brightly through the stained glass windows of your church. And mine. Even though I’m not celebrating with others in church this weekend, I’m blessed that I was able watch the service, streaming. “It is finished” and “He is risen”. Hallelujah! May God bless and a very Happy Easter to everyone! 😊

Happy Easter to you and your family Betsy! What a stunning card! Thank you for sharing it with us. We celebrated differently this year. We still enjoyed our family brunch but this year it was a virtual Easter brunch. We were all visiting doing a group video chat with our cell phones and all though we were not together in person, it was still enjoyable.
Happy Easter to you and what a beautiful card .You are right this is a different year, but we know the Lord is with us. Stay safe everyone.
He is risen indeed! Blessings to you & yours this Easter! Thank you for the beautiful reminder & gorgeous card.
He is risen. He is risen indeed. Hallelujah.
Easter Blessings to you and your family, Betsy! Another beautifully written blog post and a stunning card. Our church also has lots of stained glass windows, and definitely missed that beautiful sight. Thank God for our online services throughout Holy Week, which is needed more than ever before. TFS!
He is risen. He is risen indeed. Happy Easter!
Thank you for your wonderful, inspirational card and words. I love the stained glass window inset in the brick wall. A different Easter but always about the real message. He is risen!
What a joyous time that must be to see the “light of the world” actually light up the church on Easter morn! Such a beautiful tradition with your daughter – lifetime of praises to the King build right into her heart! Thank you for sharing and also inspiring! Happy Easter!
Beautiful card – Beautiful Lord! Thank you for sharing.
What a beautiful Easter card and a beautiful message, Betsy! I missed our Sunrise Service as well~ chairs are set up outside our church along with an Altar and our Choir singers. Seeing the sun rise over the trees and church steeple as the celebration is coming to a close, always takes my breath away. Wishing you and your family the many Blessings of this Easter Season.
Churches empty, the tomb was empty too – love it! This is a lovely card!
