Happy Friday everyone! Norine is here today with the most adorable project ever for today’s TGIF. AND, make sure you read through to the end of today’s post for a fun Save the Date announcement! 🙂
Hello friends, I just realized it’s Friday the 13th! Good thing I’m not superstitious. Super-psyched for spring, but not super-stitious. I’ve been messing with plants and growing green things and while I’m not a super-talented gardener, I am always optimistic. Today’s plants though are ones I have been wanting to “plant” since I first saw the cute macrame plant hangers when they were released last year! I’ve recently taken up the craft of macrame again since first trying it in 7th grade and made some plant hangers for real, so these dies spoke to me in a very real way!

For today’s card, I combined the dies from the Macra-Made For You Dies set with the stamps from the Pot-Pourri stamp set. I used all the combinations of light and dark green inks I own to get the variety of vegetation that real living plants come in and stamped the layers of three different potted plants.
I also stamped three different pots, stamping the first layer in a light color and repeating the stamping with darker inks around one edge to suggest shadows. Then I cut all of the stamped images and paired up plants with pots and hung two of them in a die cut macrame holder and left the 3rd to be a table-sitter.
Next, I die cut the Cozy Cup Coaster and folded a corner of it to tuck over the edge of a red gingham table cloth. I found the perfect pale wood-grain patterned paper in my stash and used it for the card panel background and to me it just screams “cottage”!
I stamped a sentiment from the Sentiment Suite – Thank You stamp set, stamping directly onto the patterned paper rather than adding any extra die-cut tags, to keep things from looking too busy. Finally, I positioned all the elements in place to create the cozy little scene of house plants, trimmed the card panel 1/8th” on each side and adhered all the layers to the card base. I popped the table plant up with some foam tape to add a little extra dimension.
Agh! Isn’t Norine’s project just the cutest? I love how she combined all of the different elements!
Now for a fun announcement! We’re busy, busy, busy getting everything ready for the release of our next collection. Join us here on the blog the week of March 23-27 for sneak peeks, reveals, projects and prizes! Our latest collection called Fresh Air, will be available in the shop on Friday, March 27.

Love love love Norrine’s card! Perfect timing too, as I’ve been thinking I needed to pull these stamps out to ink up!! Looking for to the new release too❣️
Beautiful card. I love that Norine often uses patterned paper on her cards.

Beautiful card! I love this cozy scene.
Great job Norene! I all looks soooo real. I remember making macrame pot hangers also.
Hope
Very pretty inspiration Norine!
Norene did a wonderful job creating her cottage scene! I love the organic feel & realism. I did the same thing as she did, I bought a macrame kit after buying the stamp set, but it’s still waiting on me. Looking forward to some Fresh Air! 😊
Beautiful card and I have two of those sets. Would love to pin it for future inspiration, but it doesn’t seem to be posted so I’m able to do that.
Hi Anita! The first image (with the product links) is not pinable, but you should be able to pin the other images from the post – the last image is a full project photo that you should be able to pin. I hope that helps!
Yes, I am able to pin them now. Don’t know why they weren’t showing up before. Thanks!
Oh good. 🙂
I absolutely love this, Norine! So inspired to get these sets out and play!
I love all of Norine’s cards. How can one miss with the beautiful Greetery products! Can’t wait for the March release.

I’ve been waiting for this release! (Like I do with ALL of your releases, Betsy! You’re THE BEST in the business, I think! ;)) Norine, you did a WONDERFUL JOB on your card! Macrame takes me back to about 7th grade too! LOL LOVING ALL of these plants & the way you used all of these different elements to create a WONDERFUL CARD!!! ;)<3
Norine’s card is beautiful. I love the little scene she created, a real country home feeling. I love everything she creates, she is very talented. Looking forward to the new ‘Fresh Air’ release! Can’t wait.
Stunning card, Norine! Macrame was one of my old crafts from many years ago and I love the scene you created!
OMGosh! I can not wait to see your next release and I LOVE Nirines card, everything is perfectly detailed!

So looking forward to the new release too!
Looking forward to the upcoming release!
I like this combination of sets and color. Wonderful project.
This is one of my favorite suites!!! The macrame plant hangers took me back to my childhood, too. I learned to macrame at Girl Scout camp – I must’ve made a gazillion friendship bracelets! My mother made the plant hangers with jute and wooden beads. We scavenged our Ben Franklin store for supplies – does anyone remember that store?
Ha! Yes – we still have one not far from us, except now it’s called Crafts Central. They have a gazillion different things in that store and it’s fun to look around.
Beautiful hanging plants – and what a creative idea to use a corner of the coaster for a table cloth! will definitely use this idea on my cards!
How fun! Love those plants and the sketch and patterned paper on this card. So excited to see the new release products, too! We all need something fun to look forward to these days :)!
Gorgeous card, Norine! Loving that pop of gingham at the bottom 🙂
Can’t wait to check out the next release, Betsy! Very appropriately named at this time – looking forward to it!
