Is your work table still covered in holiday goodies? I’m not sure I’m ready to put away all of the Christmas and winter stamps and dies, but I know that I am ready for a little spring!
For today’s Make & Tell video, I’ll be giving some wintery items from our November collection a fresh spring look by combining them with the Oopsie Daisy set.

I used one of my current favorite techniques – using colored pencils to add shading to stamped images. It’s like half the work of coloring is done before you even start! Plus the solid stamped images, especially those that have some layers like the Oopsie Daisies, usually have some shading already built in that you can just enhance a little further using the colored pencils.
Here is this week’s video…
I had some bits and pieces left after making the video, so I created this second card as well. Which one is your favorite – the blue or the pink? I love the big blue daisy on this one and the fuller bouquet. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by for today’s Make & Tell Tuesday! I hope these projects brought a bit of springy sunshine to your day!

I think they are both gorgeous! The pink card is a little more delicate, perhaps!
I’m not normally a daisy lover, but these are so fresh and pretty that I think I’m going to have to add them to my next order! I have Polychromos to play with already!
Beautiful cards Betsy. Love them both, but my favorite is the blue one. ❤
Love both cards. I am partial to pink, so guess I would pick that one. Just received my Fit to Be Tied Bow yesterday and some other goodies. Very excited to be a new owner of The Greetery products!
Just lovely, Betsy!
They are both gorgeous. Thanks for a bit of sunshine on a cloudy Midwestern day.
A little sunshine for a winter day! Favoring the blue but would love to receive either in the mailbox!!
They are both so very beautiful as one would expect from you! Would have to say that I prefer the blue but it was a very hard choice. So nice to see a return to coloured pencils.
Both are beautiful, Betsy. The Oopsie Daisy set was among my most recent order so I was thrilled to see it featured in your video today. Thank you so much for the shading instruction and continuing to incorporate past and recent products. I hope the new year is off to a wonderful start!
I like them both but lean more to the pink bow one. I also like using my colored pencils and these cards are so beautiful and fun. Thank you for showing this video – I will try this. Thanks again Betsy. P.S. I am a fellow Iowan (Cedar Rapids area)
I love both cards Betsy, but my favorite is the card with the blue bouquet. I like the fuller bouquet too plus turquoise is one of my favorite colors.
Thank you so much for the instructive video. I feel like I can use my pencils with more knowledge and confidence. I love everything you create Betsy, both bouquets are beautiful! 😊
So fresh and gorgeous! I love the inside out die in the background of the beautifully colored daisy’s and then the gingham envelope flap…. just wonderful!
Betsy, I love both of your gorgeous cards! If I had to choose only one, I’d pick the card with the pink bow. Thank you for this wonderful video, I think you’ve opened my eyes to using my pencils more, too.
Your coloring these pieces have made them COME ALIVE, Betsy! I LOOOVE to color! If I can color it, I am drawn to it! LOL BEAUTIFULLY DONE, BETSY!!!!!!!!!! ;)<3
Betsy, that is such a beautiful way to combine mediums. I love working with pencils and always use them as the last step with my Copics, but never thought to “step it up” with Oxide inks; what a great idea! Your tip using the Press n Seal was a good one too. These are beautiful cards that will brighten up the darkest winter day! I can’t wait to send one!
Wow that is gorgeous, love your arrangement and the great tips to give it a little extra color!
Such beautiful cards, Betsy! I still have so many winter things left to play with. Combining them with the daisies is a lovely idea!
Love the blue! Gorgeous cards- both of them!
Beautiful! Thank you for the tips on adhering the Inside & Out Berry Branch die which is my go to background since it arrived. I love Scrappy glue which you recommended years ago. I transfer some to a small applicator bottle for the tiny details and it does’t clog. I like buying a large bottle and not all the environment damaging plastic small glue tubes that have become popular.
They sell Scrappy Glue in large bottles? I need to know more… 🙂
I am so excited to watch your tutorials. I’ve learned quite a bit about shading and making my stamped images ‘better’. Thanks for ‘The Greetery’ and your special talents and the sharing.
Of course, I love the pink. Pink rocks!
Daisies are my favorite flower; turquoise is my favorite color, so I gotta go with that one! I treated myself to a set of Polychromos a couple of years ago, and your technique is one that I love to use.
Wow, these are stunning, Betsy! They really pop! I love the paired gingham envelopes too 🙂
Oh I love these, can’t wait to try out the coloring techniques with my daisies! Love the pine branches mixed in and the super fun berry branch die (next on my list)!
Love them both but I think I like the pink one better. More dainty and feminine looking.
Oh how beautiful are these two cards! Thank you for your very informative videos, Betsy! I learn something new every time I watch you~of course, you make everything you do look so effortless and amaZing!
Absolutely amazingly beautiful
Wow! This card is so pretty. I love the floral white die behind the colourful bouquet. I am going to have to try that out. It just extra something that makes this card extra pretty and special!
