It’s time for a Tuesday evening Make & Tell! I took my own advice (from yesterday’s Instagram post) and snuck in a little crafting time this morning.
I’ve been wanting to create a card that combines some of my favorite trends from this season – cotton, buffalo plaid, and pine. I’ve used a lot of these elements in my holiday home decor this year and I’ve really wanted to try creating a card with this combo.

So for today’s Make & Tell, I pulled out the Cotton Comforts set, the BotaniCuts Pine Bough die, and the Cozy Cup Coaster die, which is perfect for adding a touch of buffalo plaid by doing some simple masking.
Here’s this week’s video – I hope you can sneak in some time to watch it, and better yet, make something inspired by it!

This is beautiful! Love how all of your sets work beautifully together!
This is so pretty. What a fresh, down home comfortable card!
So lovely! Love those beautiful cotton branches and the little coaster sure made things easy for making a buffalo plaid. I created a buffalo plaid recently to use with The Greetery’s With Love at Christmas bouquet and just uploaded it to my SCS gallery today. I really like how it came out, too. Love your videos! As soon as Christmas cards are done, I’m definitely going to try splatters 🙂
Betsy this card is absolutely stunning and I love everything about it! I made one card with the pinecones that already went in the mail. I was so excited to see how you made the plaid and beyond happy I have that die…cant wait to give it a try. I cant seem to find that beautiful glitter. I have a package I need to open that just arrived, I thank you so much for fast shipping.
JUST saw your video on YouTube! BEAUTIFULLY DONE, Betsy!!! ;)<3
Such a beautiful card! I love how all your sets coordinate so well together. Just goes to show how much thought you put into your designs!❤️
This card is so lovely, Betsy! I love the plaid addition – my favorite!
Gorgeous, love how you have put that all together!
Just lovely, Betsy. I am always eager to try whatever you showcase in your video. I was so happy to see your white spattered hands. I thought it was just me that gets as much on my hands as my project! Enjoy your week.
Just beautiful Betsy. I love how you incorporate elements from different sets and dies. It shows us just how far we can stretch our supplies. I am particularly delighted as I already have all these! Merry Christmas to you and your family.
Can you tell me what type of adhesive you are using? I struggle with the correct kind of glue for these types of intricate items.
Sure! I love Scrappy Glue by Sulyn for a liquid adhesive. I’ve tried others, but I keep going back to that one! I never have anything fall off with that glue. It sets pretty quickly and holds very well. I’ve used it for years.
Love the blanket plaid Behind the greenery and cotton! Thanks for the great tutorial!
What a beautiful combination of patterns & colors! I can only imagine how lovely your home looks. Thank you for the video and the post-a-note technique. 😊 I also save my Cricket leftovers but I use them for stenciling. Now I have another use! Slowly but surely I’m checking in on Instagram more often and saw your new card there yesterday, what a nice surprise. It’s so pretty! Btw, some of the recipients of my Christmas cards have told me they love my card this year and I after thanking them, I told them the designs are yours & to check out The Greetery. Oh happy days! Hope you have a great week too! 💌
PS. I don’t know why this bothered me, but I wanted to add that I don’t case cards. I was just passing along that the gorgeous designs & products are yours. Hopefully a recipient or two, will check out your website. 😊
Surprising combination of images but they look wonderful!
I absolutely love this card! It is beautiful! You always make such pretty things. ❤️
Love this card so much, Betsy! Thanks for making videos!
Wow this design is just so gorgeous, Betsy! I love all of your different elements and the fun things you put together. Thanks for the great tips!
Betsy, your videos are such a gift! I love how I want to get out my supplies and stamp after your inspiration! My favorite is the buffalo plaid using masking instead of us needing a new stencil or DSP. I’m also having trouble finding that chunky glitter! Could it be that they don’t make it anymore?
How gorgeous! Reminds me of winter in the country filled with charm!
Hi Betsy, I gave this a try and loved making the plaid. Any chance you could make a stencil for the cozy so we wouldn’t have to mask. Just a thought!
