We have so much news today! It’s been a bit quiet on the blog, but we’ve been busy, busy!
First of all, we just did a huge restock in the shop! Almost everything that was out of stock is back, with the exception of a few dies that just went out of stock in the past few days. Those are on the way and will be added back to the shop next week. Most stamps, dies, and all sizes of the clear bubbles are back! If there’s something you’re wondering about specifically, you’re always welcome to email customer service.
Next, we have some exciting news.
Save the Date for a November mini release! We’ll be having two days of sneak peeks, followed by two days of product reveals before these new wintery products go up in the shop on Friday, November 22!
Lastly, I mentioned last week that I was going to have some time to work on a few videos. I actually have three videos to share with you today! They are all somewhat related, but also sort of deal with separate topics, so I broke it down into three separate videos.
First of all, I get a lot of questions about how I set up my MISTI. I put together a video where I explain my process and how I’ve made some adaptions to my MISTI to make it work for me. I don’t show an actual product in this video, just lots of talky-talk! 🙂
In the video above, I have my MISTI all set up with the birds from the Robin & Wren set because I was busy stamping more of these cuties to use on some projects. A request for a video showing how to stamp these birds has also been at the top of the request list since they were released last summer. I finally got around to putting that together for you! I talk a bit about the set and how it layers, and we’ll also stamp a few of the birds while I share some inking tips for layered images.
And finally, we’ll put those birds to use on a project! I know these birds aren’t around in the winter, but in the stamping world we can do what we want, right? 🙂 I put a couple of these wrens to use on a holiday card. In this video I’ll focus on the background and show you how I combined our Frosty Flakes stencil with an easy watercolor technique.
The card shown in the video also uses the Blooming Branch set. I tucked in a few pine sprigs from the With Love at Christmas set to give the branch a more wintery feel. The sentiment is from the Tree Trimmings set.
I hope you enjoyed today’s post! Thanks for stopping by and sharing in all of today’s news!

You’re killing me, Betsy!!!
I love your card! Off to watch the videos and see if there is enough back in stock to hit free shipping. Excited to see the new release too
Always look forward to your posts and products
Just when I was aching for more creativity… your timing is perfect!
Hi Betsy! I’m so excited to watch the videos, but placing my order took priority. Now we have a mini-release and I’ve saved the date! You know what makes all this even better? When you use stamps & dies that I already have- or tie them in with newer products. I found that it truly helped my imagination grow. Anyway, thank you so much for asking what we’d like to see or need help with. You’re the Best! 😊👏
THANK YOU for the ton of tips, all around of your videos are super helpful! I was replacing my Cricut mat often, never knowing it could be cleaned! And a triple love emoji for sharing the watercolor background! I’m off to watch the videos several more times😊🖌❤️
Amazing.
Stunning and some great tips too! 😀
Beautiful post with lots of great news and helpful videos! Appreciate the tips you share and that you broke it into three separate videos. Another job well done, Betsy!

Hi Becky, I’m just stopping by to say hello to a fellow crafty friend. Your enthusiasm (in your comments) always makes me feel happy. Hoping your day is a happy one, in return! 😊
I couldn’t be more excited about the restocks and mini release! And I get to watch the videos still. You’ve done such wonders for my creativity, Betsy!
Absolutely love the birds and greenery you have designed. Your tip to use daubers gave me that extra help to get the look I’ve been wanting. Great inspiration and huge thanks. Love your style. Now to my order😉
Enjoyed your videos…I always learn something new.
I enjoyed all three videos and seeing your finished card as well. I’m ready to start my Christmas card making and expect that this design will make an appearance among them. I could add those precious birds on every card I make. Thanks so much, Betsy!
Your videos are amazing, Betsy, along with your stunning creations! Thanks for the tips and inspiration 🙂
Yay! New videos! Thanks bunches 😀
I can’t wait to watch the video’s. Your cards look beautiful, as usual. Thanks for the video’s
and the restock in your shop. Now off to watch the videos!
Loved everything you shared today!!
Just finished watching your videos! Packed with lots of tid-bits of helpful information. Love all your creations Betsy, this card is STUNNING!
Thank you so much for all this fun/instruction/inspiration.
Thank you for the inspiration today! Just this week, I began using my watercolors. I am in love!
Heartfelt thanks for all three videos, Betsy! I just love the way you gently nurture our skills as you inspire us all. So many wonderful tips today!💗
Love the very helpful videos! Thanks for the inspiration. I have been using the oxide inks with the dobbers and it really makes a difference. I DO really appreciate it when you show your ink colors because it gives me ideas of the colors to use. Thanks so very much!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Betsy! I enjoyed your videos so much and they’ve given me lots of inspiration and fabulous tips! I must admit to going shopping first before I watched the videos 🙂 Got everything I was looking for except the snowflake stencil. Hopefully that will be back in stock by November 22 when I’ll need to go shopping again, lol.
Thanks for the tips and tricks so beautiful 😍
Hooray for back-in-stock products, an upcoming mini release and 3 new videos! Thanks for all you do to inspire us!
Beautiful card! I am having so much fun stamping with the new sets, especially the Cotton and Cozy, and now just starting with the Care a Van and Fir 2, the images come to life as you stamp each layer!
thanks so much for the video’s and I love the gorgeous card you made!
Thank you so much for showing us how to use multi layered stamps. I have always admired your work but was intimidated to try multiple layers, fearing they wouldn’t be lined up right. I also appreciate knowing how you get such soft beautiful blends using distress oxide inks with a dauber. Genius! Your cards are gorgeous!
Amazing! I’m going to try this today!
I just made a purchase last night and now my ‘wish list’ and cart are filling up again. I’m with Caly…you’re killing me!!
Betsy, what a great way to start off the day! I watched all three videos, and like many other oF your fans, I’m so grateful for your willingness to share ideas and techniques with us.I always take a deep breath before doing multi-layered images and now I feel so much more confident!! –And the Pixi Spray with Cricket sheets! AWESOME!
Betsy, I mirror other comments with thanks for these latest videos! I may be behind the learning curve, but never thought of stamping the 1st of the layering images in black to use to line up the subsequent layers! It was an A-HA moment for me. Also, excited to hear the ability to clean the Cricut mat as well as about the Pixie Spray (recently purchased at your suggestion) to restore tackiness. Appreciate that money-saving tip! I never thought about the oxide inks being too much ink for the images…but it makes sense. I’m anxious to try your tips with the daubers this weekend to see if I notice a difference in the results. I’m sure I will. Please be gentle with our wallets on the upcoming mini-release! It will be Christmas shopping season after all.
Like some of the other ladies, accomplished some shopping for back in stock items first! Then was so pleasantly mesmerized by your videos. Thank you repeatedly for your inspiration. You have renewed my love of stamping! I look forward to the mini release. Enjoy your weekend.
DEAR Betsy, I found these 3 tutorials absolutely invaluable in how to use my misti more effectively, how to set up the bird set (which I LOVE and just received) and then this last holiday card using watercolor stenciling is just STUNNING! I am gonna be brave and give it a try! Thanks so much for all your time and sweet patience to explain the best methods to use. Your designs are just THE BEST!!
Beautiful card & I love the videos! I was wondering if you could still put an image with the stamps on the sale page, of the index and/or the layering guides for each stamp set. Thank you!
PS. I’m really looking forward to the week of the 18th!
Hi Sandy – the layering sets all come with a printed layering/stamping guide now! I hope that helps!
Pure genius. Thank you for the great tips and techniques. Off to check the restocked items.
I have been looking at Amazon for oxide inks. Do you recommend any particular colors to start with for a natural color robin and wren stamp set. And, how do I give you credit for purchasing through Amazon?
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials! They make using your stamps and stencils so much easier! I will be watching this again and showing my stamping buddy’s ❤️
