Just a note to let you know (in case you missed it!) that we restocked the shop yesterday with several of the sets that went out of stock with our last release. I know many of you were looking for the Autumn Sketches and Budding Beauties Autumn sets, and they are back!
I also have a couple of new cards to share with you today using Autumn Sketches. It’s one of those sets that I just want to reach for over and over, whether it’s a quick card, or something I want to spend a little more time on.
I love doing some loose watercolor over that sketchy branch, which is what I did here. It’s so quick and easy! I used shades of orange on the leaves, and then added in some berries with a pretty shade of bluish purple. I finished it off with a few splatters of the same watercolors that I used in the image, plus a little shimmery gold. The sentiment is from the Bountiful Wreath set, and it was heat embossed with gold.
This second card is from Dawn. She clustered several of the branches from the Autumn Sketches set over our Crimped Frames dies. She stamped them in such rich, vibrant autumn hues, and then the kraft background adds a touch of rustic. The sentiment she used here is from the Sentiment Suite: Thank You set.
Before I go, just a little note about what’s happening the next week and a half here on the blog…we start sneak peeks of our holiday collection TOMORROW!! There will be sneak peeks each day for the remainder of this week, and then on Monday we’ll start the product reveals and projects! Our holiday collection will go up for sale on Friday, October 4 at 10am EDT!
I hope to see you back here tomorrow!

The background on the first card is stunning. You should do a tutorial on it.
Your cards are both so gorgeous. I love those sets and would love to own them someday. I have a question for you. I recently did a card using some of your wonderful products and posted it on Facebook but I don’t know how to (I think they call it hashtag) it. I am not very good at this sort of thing and for the life of me don’t understand these hashtag things but I was hoping I could learn with your products because things made with your designs should be shared.
I also believe you should do a background tutorial on your card. It’s beautiful. I wish to thank you for your amazing customer service. It’s the best I’ve ever experienced. The efficiency and speed of delivery are amazing. I enjoyed the delightful packaging too!
Your card samples are so lovely, Betsy. Thanks for sharing them and offering such great products.
I can’t get over how beautiful this card is! I love the watercolour!
Beautiful examples, can’t wait to play when my order gets here 🙂 Look forward to the next release too!
Lovely surprise to find this in my email today. Great inspiration.
Gah! I’ve been counting the days. These cards are BOTH so beautiful. I love this set too. Who am I kidding, I love the entire last release. Don’t see why this release will be any different. My wallet is scared.
Thanks for letting us know about restocks and thanks for sharing a beautiful card. I love the way you do your releases and I’m holding back on other purchases in anticipation of your sneak peaks.
When will the blooming branches die be restocked? I bought the stamp set but the die was unavailable.
Gorgeous fall inspiration!
Oh my what gorgeous cards! Betsy, your loose watercolor over that sketchy branch is amazing. Such a beautiful effect that I simply must try!!
I agree with Jade you should do a tutorial on the background. The whole card is beautiful but the background just makes it so perfect.
